Open Society Fund BiH launched the “Policy Development Fellowship Program" in early 2004 with the aim to strengthen the domestic policy community in BiH. The main goal of the Program is to improve BiH policy research and dialogue and to contribute to the development of a sound policy-making culture based on informative and empirically grounded policy options.
Aleksandra Nikolić was born on 5 th May 1966 in Sarajevo. She has finished her elementary and high school education in Sarajevo. She graduated at Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sarajevo, Department of food technology. She finished postgraduate studies at Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sarajevo, Department of Agriculture and food industry economics, and currently works on her PhD thesis. She works at the Faculty of agriculture University of Sarajevo as a senior teaching assistant at Department of Agriculture and food industry economics In addition she is very actively engaged in the process of B&H Organic Movement development. Trough the NGO BETA she works actively on organic agriculture promotion as well as on farmers/producers capacity development. She is also member of NGO OK Executive Board.

Alija Mujčinagić, born on December 4, 1973 in Gračanica. Graduated at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Tuzla. Student of the CEFES international postgraduate studies in the field of power systems in Tuzla. Participated in several conferences and workshops in South-East Europe pertaining to electricity markets.
Employed by the State Electricity Regulatory Commission as an analyst in the Tariff and Market Department.

Emir has been working in the field of social research for 5 years now. Currently he is employed at Centre for Policy Studies (CEPOS) Sarajevo and over the last 2 years has been mainly focused on public policy in local governance and labour market. He had acquired BA in sociology at University of Sarajevo and obtained a Master degree in Decentralized Governance from Central European University Budapest.
Irena Jankulov was born on 31 December 1978 in Sarajevo. After receiving BSc in Economics degree from the University of Sarajevo, and a study visit to the USA, University of Montana, in 2003 she completed MSc studies at the University of Bologna, Economics Department in the field of development and international cooperation. She worked for World University Service BiH, Centre for international development of the Bologna University, Economic Policy Planning Unit (today’s Directorate for economic planning) and the Chairman of the Indirect Taxation Authority Governing Board. Currently she works as a country economist for the IMF Sarajevo office on fiscal issues and key macroeconomic developments.

Lejla Huskic completed her bachelor degree at the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo in 2003 and she attained her master degree at the University of Sarajevo Centre for Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies in State Management and Humanitarian Affairs graduating in 2005. Apart from several short term jobs and her involvement in AIESEC as a student she was employed by World University Service Bosnia and Herzegovina (SUS B&H) in 2002, where she is the Head of Office since 2004.

After graduating in psychology in 1999 Majda Becirevic has worked for the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma, and been programme coordinator for Save the Children Norway Office for South East Europe where she worked on projects aimed at improving quality and access to education. In 2006 she completed an MPhil at the Cambridge University where she undertook research on inclusive education in BiH. Currently she is a full time PhD student at the Open University in England conducting research on children with disabilities and their families in Eastern Europe.

Miroslav Zivanovic was born on June 13, 1976 in Sarajevo, where he completed his elementary and secondary school. He graduated from the University of Sarajevo in Comparative Literature and Librarianship and obtained his Masters Degree in State Management and Humanitarian Affairs from University of Sarajevo, University of Belgrade and University of Rome “La Sapienza”, year 2003. Miroslav Zivanovic is head of Library and Documentation Department of the Human Rights Centre of the University of Sarajevo. He is also library tutor at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies of the University of Sarajevo. His research priorities are human rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina, information and communication technologies and human rights, civil society, public administration, good governance, etc.

Naida Trkić holds a Master degree in finance from University Maastricht in the Netherlands. During the last seven years, she was involved in a number of projects in BiH financed and implemented by the international community, including support of SMEs, strengthening of corporate governance, reform of business registration, capacity building of labour unions and establishing business incubation, and has participated in several EU project evaluations.
Since 2004, she is working on the DFID Strengthening Public Expenditure Management Project as a Budget Advisor and Donor Initiatives Coordinator.
Ms Trkić is a highly experienced economist and financial management reform consultant who has worked on a range of projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina funded by the international community and aiming to strengthen economic development and public sector financial management. This included support to SMEs, business incubation and regional economic development, strengthening of corporate governance, reform of business registration, capacity building of labour unions, and project evaluations. In these positions Ms Trkić has gained extensive experience in economic research and analysis and building skills and capacities of senior government officials. Since 2004, Ms Trkić has been engaged as a Budget Advisor and Donor Initiatives Coordinator on DFID’s Strengthening Public Expenditure Management Project. In this role, Ms Trkić has been involved in providing technical support on budget preparation to national and sub-national Ministries of Finance within BiH. Ms Trkić holds a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Maastricht (The Netherlands).

Nikolina Obradović completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies in economics and development studies at Queen Mary and London School of Economics, University of London. She has worked for various international organisation (OHR, OSCE and IOM) and government institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Currently works as independent consultant, while also pursuing her Ph.D. at University of Zagreb.

Nisveta Osmić (1971) graduated on Faculty of Economics in Tuzla. She is a student of postgraduate studies in Josip Jurij Strossmayer University in Osijek, Croatia, Department of Entrepreneurship, and currently works on her Master thesis.
She is actively engaged as a coordinator in the implementation of a very successful programme called Young Entrepreneurship since the beginning of its designing and implementation, which is initiated and financed by FOD BiH. She works in the Association for Integrated Economic Development in Tuzla. As a participant in Policy Development Fellowship Program in Bosnia and Herzegovina, she made a study on entrepreneurial subject named Institutional Infrastructure for SME Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Taida Begic holds a doctoral degree in law from the University of Vienna (2004) and LL.M. in international business law from the Central European University in Budapest (1998). Currently, she is working as a deputy director at the Center for Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies of the University of Sarajevo. Her research interests include: international (investment) law, EU law, European integrations, higher education governance, and public administration.
