SRCe - Student Resource Center
SRCe is a "Student Resource Center" founded in 1998 by the Open Society Fund Bosnia and Herzegovina (OSF B&H) as a part of the SRCe centers Network in all the countries within the Open Society Institute (OSI).
SRCe offers information on possibilities and ways of pursuing education at universities and educational institutions both within the country and abroad. This program is intended for secondary school leavers, graduates and post-graduates and anybody interested in higher or further education in the country or abroad.
SRCe provides information on study courses and workshops in different academic disciplines at domestic and foreign institutions including how to apply for courses at foreign universities and seminars, what is needed for application, when to submit applications, how to write a CV, when and how to apply for financial help, scholarships and jobs for students.
SRCe possesses an information database with data on:
- Universities in B&H,
- Universities in USA, Europe and other parts of the world,
- Academic disciplines (natural sciences, humanities, technical, etc.)
- How to apply to study abroad (choice of universities, successful application for competitions, writing CVs, applications, letters, recommendations, interviews, etc.)
- Applications for enrolment on a course at educational institutions,
- Foreign language tests (TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT, SLEP),
- Scholarships and other forms of financial help during studies.
SRCe is an administrator of higher and secondary education programs of OSF B&H:
CEU - Central European University
OSF B&H promotes CEU programs, which include post-graduate studies in social and human sciences at different departments of universities in Budapest and Warsaw (sociology, history, international relations, law, amongst others).
SUN - Summer University
Also at CEU, the program offers a great number of courses in the area of social sciences and the humanities for students, post-graduates, assistant professors and faculty associates and other institutions of high education in B&H. The participants are also offered foreign languages courses and IT coursers.
Scholarships for Great Britain
In cooperation with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO), OSF B&H selects a number of B&H students for post-graduate studies in social sciences and the humanities at Cambridge and Oxford Universities, as well as the post-graduate and post-doctoral researches at Oxford University.
AUBG - American University in Bulgaria
The OSF B&H program of awarding scholarships to the students from Bosnia and Herzegovina attending the under-graduate studies at AUBG, a University certified by "New England Association of Schools and Colleges".
